METHOD & SOURCES

Every Signal Has a Source; Every Conclusion Has a Boundary.

Claude Test is an independent network and device diagnostic project and is not affiliated with Anthropic.

When Diagnostics Run

Loading a page never automatically queries public IPs, local software, or Claude cookies. Checks run only when you click the scan button for that module, and any query can be toggled off.

Visitor Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to measure page views, traffic sources and basic device information, and may use cookies. Diagnostic results, browser fingerprints, cookie/session metadata and software lists are not sent as analytics parameters.

Local vs. Online Capabilities

Online mode runs network and browser checks. Running the local server enables read-only Windows locale, proxy/TUN, and software name probes; the optional browser helper requires explicit user authorization.

Public Network Intelligence

ipwho.is, ipapi.co, and ipify provide HTTP exit references; Google/Cloudflare STUN provides ICE candidates; RIPE provides BGP, WHOIS, RPKI, and DNSBL data; ProxyCheck provides usage types and flags via a same-origin relay (cached up to 10 min); Shodan provides passive port records; Google Public DNS provides PTR lookups.

Offline Data & Online Enrichment

Basic attribution uses offline IPtoASN data, official AWS, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud ranges, and X4B hosting / VPN network lists. Both IPv4 and IPv6 are matched. Results retain sources, versions and missing fields. No match does not imply residential use; ASN country is not geolocation. Online proxy labels are off by default.

DNS & Proxy Configuration

DNS leak tests trigger random domains in this browser. dnsleak.dev sees the public connection, actual recursive addresses and any ECS subnet, retaining results in memory for 10 minutes. The native probe reads only supported clients’ TUN / DNS switches and resolver hostnames. It returns no subscriptions, controller secrets or proxy credentials and never changes configuration.

Results & Local History

Network-change history stores up to 20 local summaries with hashed addresses. Fingerprint history separately stores the last three full public test IPs, fingerprint hashes, and graphics/device summaries for comparison. It does not store Canvas images, passwords, or session credential values. Both histories can be cleared from the history view or by clearing this site's browser data.

Editorial Principles

Chapters are organized by real troubleshooting scenarios, verified against official documentation and actual probe code. We never present community rumors as official rules or promise ban immunity.

Maintenance and Verification Record

Claude Test is maintained as an independent project and publishes under the project name. Content maintenance covers sources and instructions; diagnostic maintenance covers rules, evidence limits, and compatibility. Each page shows its revision date and retains a corresponding content-change record.

Validation has three layers: automated checks for parsing, scoring, routes, and the three language versions; browser checks for layout, language, and interaction; and real network checks for the endpoints and responses observed at that time. Examples specify their scope and retest conditions. Missing results remain unknown, and one successful example does not establish behavior on every network.

2026-10-16: Added practical procedures and result examples, corrected local-history privacy details, linked page/article/site structured data, and based update dates on content revisions. Diagnostic results are not inserted into articles or search indexes.
